Dr. Chase is a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist with over 25 years of experience in working with adults, as well as with children, adolescents, and their families. Prior to joining Chesapeake, Dr. Chase was associated with Stixrud and Associates for ten years before entering private practice.
In addition to his neuropsychological assessment of suspected Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Executive Dysfunction, Learning Disabilities, Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD), Dr. Chase is well-known for his assessment of individuals struggling with complex ‘multiple-diagnoses’ involving emotional/behavioral as well as neurologic and neuro-developmentally-based issues. He also conducts Emotional/Psychological Assessments of children, adolescents, and adults with suspected motivational, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
Dr. Chase is one of those rare neuropsychologists who brings his expertise to bear not only in diagnostic assessments but also in psychotherapeutic work with adolescents and adults around issues of anxiety, depression, self-esteem and family conflict that may or may not be related to ADHD or learning differences.
Education and Training:
Dr. Chase earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Vassar College and went on to earn his Ph.D. in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He later did a post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the JFK-Johnson Rehabilitation Institute.
