Lin Gyi, MD

Lin Gyi, MD, is a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and OCD. Dr. Gyi also has experience working with individuals who identify as transgender or gender non-binary and incorporates a gender-affirming approach to the treatment she provides. Since her residency training, Dr. Gyi has adopted the four perspectives model when it comes to a comprehensive patient evaluation.
This model allows her to consider a holistic view of her patients that includes the disease, dimensional, behavior, and life story perspectives. Dr. Gyi is licensed in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Education and Training:
Dr. Gyi received her bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore, where she studied biology and art history. After her undergraduate studies, Dr. Gyi worked for two years as a scientific program analyst at the National Human Genome Research Institute. She received her medical degree from New York Medical College. Dr. Gyi completed her psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Georgetown.
