Langdon Comee

Langdon Comee is the CEO of The Chesapeake Center. Over the past nine years, her role has grown as she has initiated and overseen a rapid expansion of services, service providers, and clinic sites. When Ms. Comee arrived, The Chesapeake Center was known as the Chesapeake ADD Center and operated out of a single site in Silver Spring with a clinical staff of six. Under her leadership, the Center now operates at four different locations with a clinical staff of nearly twenty. Her vision of the potential of a specialty center has led Chesapeake to broaden its focus of treatment and to provide multi-disciplinary, integrated services addressing a broad range of behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and psychiatric conditions.
Prior to Chesapeake, Ms. Comee spent fifteen years in management roles in the hospitality industry. She served as an event planner at the Kennedy Center and was the first female restaurant manager at the historic Brown Palace in Denver. She honed her marketing and management abilities as well as her focus on the importance of customer service; skills that have proved to translate very well in a service-oriented behavioral health setting.
Ms. Comee is the daughter of The Chesapeake Center’s founder Kathleen Nadeau, PhD, and “grew up” in the business, becoming highly knowledgeable with issues surrounding attention and learning challenges. Because of this long-standing familiarity, she has been an ideal manager to train the Center’s administrative staff. She brings to them a greater understanding of the conditions treated at Chesapeake and has led them to develop a keen sense of how important it is to listen carefully to people calling to explore the Center’s services in order to direct them to the most appropriate service provider.
Ms. Comee has been instrumental in working with clinical staff to develop new programs and services. She works closely with the marketing team to engage in community outreach and public education related to ADHD, learning issues, and behavioral health challenges. Ms. Comee brings her excellent business management skills to Chesapeake, and leads and inspires the Center’s administrative staff to focus on providing the highest quality of care.
