This 8 session weekly support group is led by a trained facilitator and designed to provide a supportive place for mothers to share personal experiences and engage in collaborative problem-solving. Group members will learn practical, effective strategies to reduce stress and to create a more ADD-friendly home environment.

Karen Hennessey, CPNP, PMHNP-BC
Karen Hennessy is a dual board-certified nurse practitioner in pediatrics/adolescent medicine and psychiatry. She has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents for over 30 years.
She is passionate about education and has worked with primary and secondary schools to facilitate support services for her patients. Ms. Hennessy is especially aware of the increasing emotional health issues among students in colleges and universities and has counselled teenagers and young adults experiencing a difficult transition.
Ms. Hennessy’s diversified and unique background in both pediatric and adolescent medicine and psychiatry has enriched her clinical skills as well as her own perspective. She believes that patient assessment should draw from a holistic and multi-dimensional lens that encompasses physiologic, developmental, and psychosocial perspectives.
