Groups now forming
Young Adult ADHD Group
The Chesapeake ADHD Center of Maryland is excited to offer a psychoeducational support group for young adults or college students with ADHD. The group welcomes college students, young adults in the workforce, or any young adult struggling to get back to school or work. The group will help individuals:
- learn more about ADHD and treatment options
- improve daily life management skills
- overcome common work-place and/or academic barriers
- navigate the policies around getting accommodations
- improve self-esteem while learning to emphasize strengths rather than weaknesses
- explore ways that ADHD affects relationships and learn ways to cope with these challenges
- develop ways to make life more ADHD friendly when planning for future and career
The group will meet in the evenings (time is TBA) and will meet at the Chesapeake ADHD Center in downtown Silver Spring (a few blocks from the Metro). If you are interested in joining this group or would like to learn more, please email the facilitator, Haniya Silberman, LCSW-C at haniyasilberman@chesapeakeadd.com.
